Kipper is a British animated children's television series based on the characters from Mick Inkpen's Kipper the Dog picture book series. Some episodes are based on particular stories by Inkpen. The videos have won awards including a BAFTA award for best children's animation. Because HiT Entertainment co-owned Sprout when the channel was launched, it aired a variety of shows from its archive library on Sprout, including reruns of Kipper.

History on Sprout

The show was one out of many to be aired on-demand, with selected episodes airing under the "Children's Favorites" label (and eventually in its own label). It joined the network at launch in 2005, but left on July 26, 2015.

The show aired at 8PM EST and PT/7PM CT, 10AM EST and PT/9AM CT, 6AM EST and PT/5AM CT, and 8:30 EST and PT/7:30 CT. It later aired at 7:00 EST and later at 7:15 EST and PT/6:15 CT during The Good Night Show.

The episode "Skates" was included in Safety First.

• Nina and her Sproutlet friends once did "Arnold's Clean-Up Stretch" on The Good Night Show. The segment aired during the Bedtime Routines blockisode.^[1]
• Prior to its run on Sprout, it aired on Noggin from 2000 to 2003.
• A clip from "Sleepless Night" is included in Sprout's Snooze-a-Thon.
• The show never got a Birthday Show activity in its lifespan.
